Loganair offering 50% off awards – lock in pricey UK domestic flights for only 3,250 Avios
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Get over 10 cents per mile in value for your Avios points – if you need to take a UK domestic flight with Loganair!

Earlier this year, the UK’s largest regional airline Loganair became the latest carrier to adopt Avios points as its frequent flyer programme currency, joining the likes of British Airways, Finnair and Qatar Airways in the programme with redemptions set at a competitive 6,500 Avios per one-way flight.

While the carrier isn’t necessarily on the radar for most of our Asia-based readers, its extensive – and often expensive – network across the UK and Ireland, potentially offers great value Avios redemptions if you’re planning to travel to multiple locations on your next trip.

Redeem Avios on Loganair with 50% off

The airline is currently offering an excellent 50% Avios redemption discount, allowing members to book one-way award flights for just 3,250 Avios – half the usual 6,500 Avios – for travel between now and 28th March 2026, provided the booking is made by 10th June 2025.

This opens up great value opportunities across Loganair’s regional network – especially on routes that are typically very expensive when booked with cash.

Routes Loganair flies from UK airports also served by Singapore Airlines include:

  • London Heathrow: Derry, Dundee, Isle of Man, Kirkwall, Sumburgh
  • Manchester: Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Inverness, Isle of Man, Kirkwall, Newquay, Southampton, Sumburgh

Redemptions over the peak festive period, between 22nd December 2025 and 11th January 2026, are not included in the offer.

Over 10 cents per Avios point?

Here’s an example where a flight from London Heathrow to Sumburgh, costing over GBP 276, requires just 3,250 Avios points + GBP 33 in taxes and fees.

This values each Avios redeemed at an incredible 7.48 UK pence per mile, equivalent to 13 Singapore cents per mile.

While this is a relatively niche redemption and unlikely to appeal to most of our readers, it’s an exceptional value – almost unheard of for Economy Class travel.

Link your BA account to transfer Avios to Loganair

As we’ve highlighted before when discussing Avios transfers between its different loyalty programmes, British Airways serves as the central ‘hub’ scheme.

You can transfer credit card points to BA Avios points from American Express, Citi, HSBC and OCBC in Singapore.

To move Avios into the Loganair Loyalty programme, you’ll therefore first need a British Airways Club account (join here).

You’ll also need to sign up for a Loganair Loyalty account, which you can do here.

Ensure that your name spelling and structure (first name / surname) is identical for both accounts, otherwise you won’t be able to link them.

To link your British Airways and Loganair accounts, you’ll have to visit the Avios.com Move & Combine page here.

Click on the Loganair transfer link, which will then prompt you to first link your British Airways and Loganair accounts.

Once you’ve gone through all the security confirmations, your accounts will be successfully linked, and you can then make transfers between BA Avios and Loganair Avios, if you wish to (it is not compulsory to make a transfer at this stage).

If you transfer Avios to Loganair and then have a change of heart – don’t worry. You can transfer them back to BA any time you like.

As with other Avios partners, transfers are free, instant, and fully reversible 24/7.

In order to transfer Avios you may have in other accounts, like Qatar Airways Privilege Club or Finnair Plus, just move them to BA and then to Loganair from there. Again, you can simply reverse this process any time, if you change your mind.

Once you have a Loganair Loyalty account, simply log in and you can then search and book flights using Avios points from the menu on the left side of the homepage.

Alternatively, you can do a regular search via the main homepage, with the ‘Spend Avios’ checkbox ticked.

Things to know

Here are some key things to note when you redeem Avios points on Loganair:

  • Award tickets on Loganair are non-refundable
  • Award tickets include 15kg checked baggage and 6kg hand baggage allowance, a free snack and a free drink
  • Seat selection and additional baggage is chargeable
  • Some Loganair routes are partly funded by Government subsidies, and so cannot be redeemed using Avios points (e.g. Glasgow to Barra, Westray to Papa Westray)
  • Award itinerary changes (route or date) come with a fee of between GBP 30 and GBP 50 per single journey per passenger

Loganair’s limited-time 50% Avios redemption offer makes a rare sweet spot twice as attractive, especially given the often steep cash fares charged on its regional UK routes.

At just 3,250 Avios + taxes for a one-way flight, this is one of the best-value redemptions we’ve ever seen for Economy Class – with the potential to unlock over 10 cents per mile in value.

Even if Loganair isn’t on your regular travel radar, this promotion could come in handy for those planning a UK or Ireland trip with multiple stops, or looking to cover routes that are otherwise difficult or pricey to fly.

You can instantly transfer Avios from British Airways to Loganair – and can reverse the process at any time – so it’s well worth considering this deal if your travel plans align.

Just be sure to book by 10th June 2025 to take advantage of the promotion, for travel through to 28th March 2026.
