New menu items are coming to Magic Kingdom next month, with 2025 Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party exclusive snacks, entrees & desserts, plus all-day dishes and drinks available August, September and October. This food guide shares photos and details about the spook season treats, along with our commentary.
Walt Disney World’s culinary teams have conjured up some frightfully fun delights for you to indulge in during your day trip to Magic Kingdom with more special treats during Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, which runs select nights from August 15 through October 31, 2025. During that hard ticket event, the highlight for many guests is obviously trick or treating, with candy like M&M’s, Snickers, and more.
In addition to that, several restaurants and snack spots will be open and offering even more Halloween-themed items that are available for purchase. If our experiences in the past–and the stock photos and descriptions Disney has shared–are any indication, some of these are treats, whereas some are tricks. There are also 10 dishes & drinks that are available all-day during the spook season at Magic Kingdom…
There’s also a returning upcharge within the upcharge event: Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace. This features a variety of Halloween-themed sweet treats and specialty drinks, as well as “exclusive” viewing of the fireworks at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party.
Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace once again does not offer reserved viewing for the Boo to You Parade, just as the normal dessert party does not offer special seating for Starlight. Moreover, the fireworks viewing area is not optimal for parade viewing.
For most Halloween Parties, reserved viewing for Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular is totally unnecessary. Plus, the reserved viewing area is not that great of a spot for viewing the fireworks. (For the best locations, check out our Magic Kingdom Fireworks Viewing Locations Guide.)
The dessert party is a waste of money and time during the 2025 Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party from a “fireworks” perspective. If you’re doing it for the desserts, sure, whatever. To each their own on that. It’s very expensive as compared to just buying stuff from this guide a la carte, but some people prefer the perceived convenience. We can’t really argue with that, as it’s subjective.
We aren’t big fans of the dessert party during normal nights, but it makes much more sense on normal nights during Party Season when Happily Ever After is being performed and crowds in Magic Kingdom for that are worse. The dessert party is counterproductive during MNSSHP. (Don’t say we didn’t warn you!)

Our Commentary About 2025 MNSSHP Foods
Let’s start with the positive, which is the pumpkin prevalence. Whenever one of these fall or Halloween food guides is released, the first thing I do is a search all for “pumpkin.” Last year, there were 8 instances of pumpkin, and a few of those were repeats from dish names and descriptions.
This year, there are 24 pumpkin entries. By my count, there are 12 unique pumpkin dishes, which is still a criminally low number, but it’s double the count from last year. The pronounced pumpkin shortage has been problematic for years, so at least we’re taking steps in the right direction.
This pumpkin paucity is perplexing. If there’s one thing Walt Disney World leadership and fans love, it’s things that are “basic.” (Non-derogatory, which should be obvious given that I’m a self-professed pumpkin enjoyer!) This is how we’ve had color trends, photo walls, Spirit Jerseys, Loungeflys, Crocs, and other such things for years. What is more basic than pumpkin dishes during fall?!? I truly cannot comprehend this, especially since the lines for the few pumpkin ice cream offerings and other desserts are always long.
Otherwise, it’s nice to see more restaurants on Main Street and throughout the park have more ambitious seasonal menus. Magic Kingdom has an atrocious culinary scene, and this helps address that to some degree. Not as much as simply having more interesting menus all of the time (big “we’ve tried nothing and we’re all out of ideas” vibes), but better than normal, I guess.
Unfortunately, the majority of these menus are once again exclusive to the 2025 Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. I really don’t get this approach. I can understand wanting a few party-exclusive snacks, especially photogenic desserts. Those are always a draw at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, and do a little to help with event capacity.
The savory entrees are a different story. There’s no way literally anyone has been waiting to buy tickets to the 2025 Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party until seeing what Pinocchio Village Haus or Cosmic Ray’s are serving. Upon arrival, there’s likewise no one whose night will be made by the presence of these entrees.
The menus at both of these colossal counter service restaurants have been bland and boring since the 50th Anniversary ended and the interesting items from that disappeared; having Halloween sandwiches and wings as all-day options would be a much-needed shot in the arm for both quick-service venues.
Beyond that, I’ve always felt it was odd to have so many interesting seasonal entrees at the Halloween or Christmas parties–the average attendee will try maybe one of them, whereas adding these to regular menus gives locals and Annual Passholders an excuse to make repeat visits to Magic Kingdom to try them all. Walt Disney World will need all the excuses they can get to boost attendance in August and September!
On a positive note, at least Pecos Bill and Sleepy Hollow have improved their menus since this time last year. Pecos Bill now has one of the best counter service menus at Walt Disney World, and the latter has undone some of the damage from its scandalous summer of ’24. So there are some year-over-year improvements. Still, there’s a sharp seasonal contrast between Magic Kingdom and Disneyland when it comes to Halloween 2025 foods.
The most egregious example of paywalling party menus is Be Our Guest Restaurant and Cinderella’s Royal Table, both of which have seasonal menus that are exclusive to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party for some dumb reason.
We’ve been defenders of Be Our Guest Restaurant for a while, saying it’s still “worth it” for most first-timers so long as they go in with realistic expectations. But this has clearly become an unpopular opinion, with most fans calling Be Our Guest Restaurant overrated or just flat-out bad. Even though our experiences have been positive, it’s impossible to ignore or overlook those who have had bad meals at Be Our Guest.
Anyway, I did this MNSSHP menu at Be Our Guest Restaurant last Halloween and was pleasantly surprised by it. The Cinderella’s Royal Table menu looks really good, and I hope something like this is repeated at Christmas so we can do it as a family.
One positive about the MNSSHP menus at Be Our Guest Restaurant and Cinderella’s Royal Table are that they officially start at 4 pm this year. This was unofficially the case last year, but there was a lot of confusion about it. Previously, it had been the case that these menus didn’t start until 7 pm (which is still typically true of counter service spots), so this is an improvement. You can use mix-in time for the table service spots instead of burning valuable party time!
