Singapore Airlines’ Klook-style “destination discovery platform” Pelago has been running a series of bonus miles promotions in recent months, most recently offering 8 mpd via Kris+ in April 2025, on top of up to 4 mpd from credit card spend.
For May 2025, the 8 mpd offer is back – but this time it’s exclusive to bookings made directly via the Pelago website using a promo code, allowing for a total earn rate of up to 12 mpd when combined with credit card points. Meanwhile, the Kris+ rate drops significantly to 5 mpd, still stackable for up to 9 mpd overall.

Earn 8 mpd until 31 May
Usually Pelago awards 3 KrisFlyer miles per S$1 spent on the site, transferred directly into your KrisFlyer account within a week after completing your booked activity.
In this promotion you’ll earn 8 miles per dollar instead, for up to two bookings made through the site between now and 31st May 2025, using promo code MILES8X
A minimum spend of S$80 applies for use of the promo code, which each user can apply a maximum of twice during the promotion period.
The promo code is not valid on activities listed here. However, strangely certain excluded products are still eligible for application of the promo code, such as those listed here.
The promotion is eligible for bookings made for any activity date, even those you’ll use after 31st May 2025.
The total KrisFlyer miles accrual, including bonus miles from this offer, will be credited to your account one week after you complete your booked activity.

How it works
To apply the 8 mpd promo to your Pelago booking via Pelago.com, you’ll need to apply the promo code MILES8X at the checkout stage, for a booking valued at S$80 or more.

What is Pelago?
Pelago is a Singapore Airlines venture marketed as a “destination discovery platform”, currently offering a range of activities, experiences and attraction tickets in Singapore and SIA destinations like Phuket and London.
Activities and experiences available on Pelago include include theme park admission, food and drink tours, wellness treatments and museum tickets, with over 200,000 packages currently available ranging from a few dollars to several thousand dollars, including nearly 500 here in Singapore itself.
If you’re familiar with online travel and experiences site Klook, it’s a very similar concept, though the big draw for our readers with Pelago is KrisFlyer miles earning when you spend.
Earn 12 mpd with the right credit card
Pelago’s payment provider uses the following Merchant Category Code (MCC) when processing credit card payments:

Pelago bookings via also qualify as online transactions, allowing you to earn up to an additional 4 mpd through your credit card rewards, for a total of 12 mpd during this promotion.

Avoid using your KrisFlyer UOB credit card for direct Pelago bookings during this promotion – while it will earn 3 mpd from 1st June 2025 onwards, it currently only accrues the base 1.2 mpd rate.
Likewise, steer clear of using your Citi Rewards card here. Pelago transactions are coded under MCC 4722 (Travel), a category explicitly excluded from earning the 4 mpd bonus for online spend, meaning you’ll earn just 0.4 mpd. Unless you have one of the above-recommended cards or have already maxed out your bonus earn cap, a solid general spend card is likely your best bet.
Do note that the HSBC Revolution card also no longer awards bonus points for MCC 4722 transactions, since 1st January 2024 – so avoid that one too.
Remember, even using a relatively mundane general spend credit card like the DBS Altitude, earning 1.3 mpd for local transactions, you’re getting a very respectable equivalent of 9.3 mpd under this Pelago offer, with no concerns about transaction eligibility or spend caps.
Kris+ offers instant 5 mpd miles earning
This month, an unlimited number of Pelago bookings via the Kris+ app will earn 5 mpd, with up to 4 mpd available in addition through your credit card for an effective 9 mpd earning in total.
While that’s not as good as this direct offer, remember that with Kris+ the miles are awarded instantly, which is a great benefit compared to booking via the Pelago website.
It potentially makes Kris+ a better option for a short-term top-up to secure a redemption, even when booking an activity many weeks or months into the future.
Pelago’s latest promo offers a nice opportunity to rack up additional KrisFlyer miles, with 8 mpd on direct bookings via Pelago.com using promo code MILES8X, valid for two redemptions of at least S$80 between now and 31st May 2025.
Stack this with the right credit card, and you could be earning 12 mpd in total.
While Kris+ bookings are now reduced to 5 mpd, they still offer instant miles and a solid total of up to 9 mpd during May 2025, making them a handy alternative for those needing a quick top-up.
Just be sure to choose your payment card wisely – some, like the Citi Rewards and HSBC Revolution, won’t reward you properly for direct Pelago.com transactions.
With over 200,000 experiences on offer, including nearly 500 in Singapore alone, it’s a great time to maximise value from your everyday spend and travel plans.
